• Email, username, and user ID (for your account)
• GPS coordinates you assign to your stories and an optional notification location
• Voice recordings and transcripts (the stories you create)
• AI-generated narration audio
• Purchase history (map purchases)
• Usage data (API calls, feature usage counts for rate limiting)

Data We Use But Don't Store

Your current GPS location is sent to verify proximity for listen-radius gated stories and to serve you a localized feed, but is never saved.

Why We Collect It

• To provide core app functionality (recording, placing, and sharing audio stories)
• To process payments
• To prevent abuse via rate limiting

Third-Party Processors

Supabase (database/auth), Stripe (payments), ElevenLabs & Inworld (text-to-speech), Mistral (speech-to-text), Anthropic (translation)

Data Retention

• Active accounts: data kept for the lifetime of your account
• Inactive accounts: deleted after 2 years of no login (with 30-day warning email)
• Detailed usage events: anonymized into aggregate statistics after 30 days
• Deletion audit records: kept 3 years for compliance

Your Rights

• View and edit your data through the app
• Export your data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Your data is never sold to third parties
